Pointed Half-Moon Manis at Tracy Reese

I’m not a huge fan of nail art—anything that Lady Gaga wears is something I’d prefer to skip—but yesterday I went a little gaga over these pointed half-moon manicures at the Tracy Reese show.

Instead of the classic rounded polish at the base, Sally Hansen nail ambassador Tracylee created a sharp V shape that mimicked the nails’ pointed edge. Tracy Reese collaborated with Sally Hansen to create the three exclusive shades for spring 2013 that were used backstage: Butterscotch (bright yellow), Soy Latte (creamy beige), and Hot Lava (shimmery red-orange). The models each had one of four color combinations—orange and yellow, blue and mint green, tan and yellow, or nude and black (shown here)—depending on their clothes. Tracy Reese herself was even backstage getting a matching manicure (she chose the blue and mint green), so it doesn’t look like I’m the only one loving this look.
