Imagine a head of hair with Blake Lively’s glorious length, textured waves à la Taylor Swift, and Kate Middleton’s deep chocolate-brown color. All in all, that’s a perfect head of hair, right? But what if we were talking about your boyfriend’s locks, not your own? Now that hair doesn’t seem so pretty anymore, does it?
Kelly Osbourne’s boyfriend, chef Matthew Mosshart, has all of the above, and I think it’s only fair to say that his long, wavy dark brown mane outshines her lavender-hued strands any day. Don’t believe me? Just picture Mosshart with a blowout.
Kelly seems totally cool sharing the spotlight. Would I? There’s only room for one person with great hair in a relationship—and it’s not going to be the guy. Remember when Gwyneth Paltrow and Brad Pitt dated in the late ’90s and had similar hairstyles? Now I realize why they broke up—his looked better! And I’d feel insecure, too, knowing that passersby were too busy staring at my guy’s hair to notice my freshly blown-out waves.
What about you? Would you be comfortable dating a man whose hair grabs more attention than yours?
